The programme “Mediascape” was based on a computer programme for natural language processing, which was intended to further develop linguistic interaction between humans and computers. Influenced by Marvin Minsky’s book “Society of Mind” (1986), Salvatore Vanasco worked on the broadcast module together with the artist and programmer Wolfgang Werner. Werner developed an object-oriented database that matched keywords and search strings with a collection of media content.
