Press releases and public relations
The “Piazza virtuale” project was accompanied by intensive press work, which led to broad coverage in the print media, television and radio. A press documentation compiled by the press office of 3Sat after the project was completed contains over 150 articles that were published in Germany and internationally. According to this publication, there were also eight television and various radio reports.
In order to present itself to the public, Van Gogh TV developed logos and signets that were used on posters, press kits, stationery, business cards and even a T-shirt, almost reminiscent of a company’s “corporate identity”. This was partly artistic strategy, partly the attempt to make a strong impression on the numerous sponsors of the project.
